Miranda IM could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by a format string vulnerability in the ext_yahoo_contact_added() function in yahoo.c. By sending a specially-crafted "Y7 Buddy Authorization" packet containing format specifiers, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system, if the attacker could persuade a victim to connect to a malicious server.
