Linux kernel CIFS VFS SendReceive() buffer overflow

linux-kernel-cifsvfs-sendreceive-bo (38450) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

The CIFS VFS file system in Linux kernel is vulnerable to multiple buffer overflows, caused by improper bounds checking by the SendReceive() function. By sending an overly long SMB response, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the file system to crash.
