Description:

Cisco IP Phone 7940 running firmware P0S3-08-7-00 is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by improper handling of the state engine in the SIP stack. By sending a sequence of specially-crafted SIP INVITE messages without a username, a remote attacker could prevent the device from sending and receiving calls and force it to reboot.
