CUPS SNMP asn1_get_string() buffer overflow

cups-asn1getstring-bo (39101) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

CUPS (Common UNIX Printing System) is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by an integer signedness error in the asn1_get_string function. By sending a specially-crafted SNMP reply containing negative length values in an asn1 encoded string, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the service to crash.
