libexif exif_data_load_data_thumbnail function buffer overflow
| libexif-exifdataloaddatathumbnail-bo (39167) |
Description:
libexif is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by an integer overflow error in the exif_data_load_data_thumbnail function. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted exif file containing malformed image tags, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
