Zoom Player error message function buffer overflow
| zoomplayer-errormessage-bo (39262) |
Description:
Zoom Player is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by an unspecified function when handling error messages. By persuading a victim to open a PLS file containing an overlong file name via a HTTP link in a specially-crafted ZPL file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
