WinAce UUE file buffer overflow

Description:
WinAce is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking when decompressing UUE files. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted UUE file containing an overly long filename, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
Platforms Affected:
- eMerge, WinAce 2.65 and prior
Remedy:
Upgrade to the latest version of WinAce (2.69 or later), available from the WinAce Web site. See References.
