ClamAV cli_gentempfd() symlink
| clamav-cligentempfd-symlink (39335) |
Description:
Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack. The cli_gentempfd() function creates files in the /tmp directory with predictable filenames, caused by a race condition. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability by creating a symbolic link from a temporary file to other files on the system, which would allow the attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system with the privileges of the application.
