Apache HTTP Server mod_status cross-site scripting

apache-statuspage-xss (39472) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk

Description:

Apache HTTP Server is vulnerable to cross-site scripting, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by the mod_status module. If the server-status page is enabled, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute script in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the status page is displayed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.

Note: This vulnerability affects multiple vendor HTTP server components that utilize the Apache mod_status module. See References.IBM3
