OpenPegasus PAMBasicAuthenticator::PAMCallback() buffer overflow
| openpegasus-pambasic-bo (39527) |
Description:
OpenPegasus is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the PAMBasicAuthenticator::PAMCallback() function. By sending an overly long password, a remote attacker from within the local network could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
