X.Org X11 MIT-SHM extension integer overflow
| xorg-mitshm-overflow (39764) |
Description:
X.Org X11 is vulnerable to an integer overflow caused by improper bounds checking by the MIT-SHM extension. If the X server is configured for TCP connections, a remote attacker could create a pixmap with a specially calculated size to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges.
