Apache HTTP Server mod_negotiation HTTP response splitting
| apache-modnegotiation-response-splitting (39893) |
Description:
Apache HTTP Server is vulnerable to HTTP response splitting attacks, caused by improper validation of filenames by the mod_negotiation module that contain a Line Feed and are returned in the HTTP response header. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability and modify HTTP headers using an unspecified parameter in a specially-crafted URL to cause the server to return a split response, once the URL is clicked. This would allow the attacker to perform further attacks, such as Web cache poisoning, cross-site scripting, and possibly obtain sensitive information.
