Multiple VMware products shared folder directory traversal

vmware-sharedfolders-directory-traversal (40837) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk

Description:

Multiple VMware products could allow a local attacker to traverse directories on the system. If a host-to-guest shared folder is enabled, an attacker could send a specially-crafted multibyte string containing "dot dot" sequences (%c0%2e%c0%2e) to view and write arbitrary files on the host system.
