PowerBroker argv[0] buffer overflow
| powerbroker-argv-bo (40872) |
Description:
PowerBroker is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the pbrun, pbsh, and pbksh SUID binaries. By sending an overly long argv[0] argument, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with root privileges or cause the application to crash.
