Adobe Reader acroread symlink
| adobe-reader-acroread-symlink (40987) |
Description:
Adobe Reader could allow a local attacker to launch a symlink attack. The acroread script creates temporary files insecurely during SSL certificate handling. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability via a race condition by creating a symbolic link from a temporary file to other files on the system, which would allow the attacker to overwrite arbitrary files on the system with elevated privileges.
