Description:

The xineplug_dmx_asf.so plugin in xine-lib is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the demuxers/demux_asf.c (the ASF demuxer). By parsing specially-crafted ASF headers, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
