Sun Java Web Start useEncodingDecl() buffer overflow
| javawebstart-useencodingdecl-bo (41133) |
Description:
Sun Java Web Start in Sun JDK and JRE is vulnerable to multiple stack-based buffer overflows, caused by improper bounds checking by the useEncodingDecl() function. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web site and download a malformed JNLP file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
