ImageMagick and GraphicsMagick ReadPCXImage buffer overflow
| imagemagick-readpcximage-bo (41193) |
Description:
ImageMagick and GraphicsMagick are vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the ReadPCXImage function in the PCX coder. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted .pcx file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and exploit this vulnerability to corrupt memory and execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service.
