Plone join_form and prefs_groups_overview forms cross-site request forgery
| plone-joinform-csrf (41263) |
Description:
Plone is vulnerable to a cross-site request forgery, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input. By persuading a victim with administrative privileges to visit a specially-crafted Web site, a remote attacker could send a malformed POST request to the join_form or prefs_groups_overview form to cause the victim to create new accounts, change account privileges, and possibly perform other arbitrary administrative tasks. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability to perform cross-site scripting attacks, Web cache poisoning and other malicious activities.
