Apple Mac OS X Image Raw DNG image buffer overflow
| macos-imageraw-bo (41294) |
Description:
Apple Mac OS X is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by Image Raw. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted Adobe Digital Negative (DNG) image file, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim or cause the application to crash.
Note: This vulnerability also affects Apple Aperture and iPhoto.
