SecureSphere MX Management Server management GUI cross-site scripting
| securesphere-mxmanagementserver-gui-xss (41359) |
Description:
SecureSphere MX Management Server is vulnerable to cross-site scripting when using a non-default configuration, caused by improper validation of user-supplied input by management GUI alerts that require manual administrative interaction. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to inject malicious script into the "unknown parameter", "unauthorized URL", and "unauthorized query" alerts, which would be executed in a victim's Web browser within the security context of the hosting Web site, once the alert page is viewed. An attacker could use this vulnerability to steal the victim's cookie-based authentication credentials.
