Description:

Cisco IOS is vulnerable to a denial of service, caused by an error when PPTP is used as the tunneling protocol on a virtual private dial-up network (VPDN). After a PPTP session is completed, virtual access interfaces are not reused. By terminating multiple PPTP sessions, a remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to exceed the interface descriptor block limit to cause all subsequent VPDN connection requests to be blocked.
