MPlayer sdpplin_parse() integer overflow
| mplayer-sdpplin-overflow (41490) |
Description:
MPlayer is vulnerable to an integer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the sdpplin_parse() function. By persuading a victim to connect to a specially-crafted RTSP stream using an overly large "StreamCount" SDP parameter, a remote attacker could overwrite arbitrary memory regions and execute malformed code on the system.
Platforms Affected:
- Debian, Debian Linux 4.0
- Gentoo, Linux
- Mplayer, MPlayer 1.0 rc2 and prior
Remedy:
