Linux Audit audit_log_user_command() buffer overflow
| linuxaudit-auditlogusercommand-bo (41576) |
Description:
Linux Audit is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the audit_log_user_command() function. By sending an overly long command argument, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with libaudit privileges, or cause the application to crash.
