CUPS gif_read_lzw() buffer overflow
| cups-gifreadlzw-bo (41587) |
Description:
CUPS is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking of the code_size read parameter by the gif_read_lzw() function. By persuading a victim to print a specially-crafted GIF image, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges.
