Apple QuickTime crgn atom buffer overflow
| quicktime-crgn-atom-bo (41607) |
Description:
Apple QuickTime is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow in quicktime.qts, caused by improper bounds checking when parsing crgn atoms. By persuading a victim to open a malicious movie file containing malformed clipping region (crgn) atoms, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
