| securetransport-filetransfer-activex-bo (41692) |
Description:
The SecureTransport Server FileTransfer ActiveX Control (vcst_eu.dll and vcst_en.dll) is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the TransferFile method. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web page that passes overly long arguments via the remoteFile parameter, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim or cause the victim's browser to crash.
