Autonomy KeyView emlsr.dll multiple buffer overflows

autonomy-keyview-eml-multiple-bo (41723) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

The Autonomy (formerly Verity) KeyView EML reader (emlsr.dll), which is used in IBM Lotus Notes and possibly other applications, is vulnerable to multiple heap-based buffer overflows. By persuading a victim to view a specially-crafted EML file using one of the affected file viewers, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the victim's application to crash.
