Autonomy KeyView htmsr.dll multiple buffer overflows
| autonomy-keyview-html-multiple-bo (41724) |
Description:
The Autonomy (formerly Verity) KeyView HTML speed reader (htmsr.dll), which is used in IBM Lotus Notes and possibly other applications, is vulnerable to multiple stack and heap-based buffer overflows. By persuading a victim to view a specially-crafted HTML file using one of the affected file viewers, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the victim's application to crash.
