Autonomy KeyView document viewing engine kvdocve.dll buffer overflow
| autonomy-keyview-kvdocve-bo (41725) |
Description:
The Autonomy (formerly Verity) KeyView KeyView document viewing engine (kvdocve.dll), which is used in IBM Lotus Notes and possibly other applications, is vulnerable to a buffer overflow. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted HTML document containing an overly long link in the <IMG> tag src value, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with privileges of the victim or cause the application to crash.
