EMC DiskXtender authentication bypass
| emc-diskxtender-auth-bypass (41772) |
Description:
EMC DiskXtender could allow a remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to the system. The File System Manager, MediaStor, and License Server components contain a hard-coded login and password. By creating a connection to an affected RPC interface using the hard-coded credentials, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to bypass authentication restrictions and possibly execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privileges.
