Description:

Clam AntiVirus (ClavAV) is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by libclamav/spin.c. By persuading a victim to scan a specially-crafted PeSpin packed binary, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
