Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) WWPack libclamav/pe.c buffer overflow
| clamav-wwpack-pe-bo (41833) |
Description:
Clam AntiVirus (ClamAV) is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by libclamav/pe.c. By persuading a victim to scan a specially-crafted WWPack PE binary, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
