| icq-boxelyrenderer-bo (41852) |
Description:
ICQ is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the boxelyRenderer module in the Personal Status Manager. By persuading a victim to view a malicious status message containing specially-crafted HTML tags, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
