xine-lib demux_nsf_send_chunk() buffer overflow

xinelib-demuxnsfsendchunk-bo (41865) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

xine-lib is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the demux_nsf_send_chunk() function. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted media file containing an overly long NSF title, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
