KDE start_kdeinit privilege escalation
| kde-startkdeinit-privilege-escalation (42039) |
Description:
KDE could allow a local attacker to gain elevated privileges on the system, caused by the improper validation of input by the default setuid-root start_kdeinit script. By sending UNIX signals to arbitrary processes, a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges.
