Net-SNMP module for Perl __snprint_value function buffer overflow

netsnmp-snprintvalue-bo (42430) The risk level is classified as HighHigh Risk

Description:

Net-SNMP module for Perl is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the __snprint_value function. By persuading a victim to connect to a malicious SNMP agent, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the affected application containing the Net-snmp module to crash.
