GnuTLS _gnutls_ciphertext2compressed() buffer overflow
| gnutls-gnutlsciphertext2compressed-bo (42533) |
Description:
GnuTLS is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by an integer signedness error in the _gnutls_ciphertext2compressed function. By sending an encrypted Client Hello message in a TLS Record containing an invalid Record Length field following the TLS 1.0 handshake, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
