IBM AIX AIX kernel buffer overflow
| ibm-aix-aix-bo (42577) |
Description:
IBM AIX is vulnerable to a buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the AIX kernel. By sending a specially-crafted request, a local attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with kernel privileges or cause the application to stop responding.
