Microsoft Internet Explorer setRequestHeader chunk security bypass

ie-setrequestheader-chunk-security-bypass (42804) The risk level is classified as MediumMedium Risk

Description:

Microsoft Internet Explorer could allow a remote attacker to bypass security restrictions, caused by a failure in the setRequestHeader method of the XMLHttpRequest object method to prevent Transfer-Encoding HTTP header requests. By sending a specially-crafted HTTP POST request containing a "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" header and a request body with an incorrect chunk size, an attacker could exploit this vulnerability to conduct HTTP request splitting and smuggling attacks.
