Novell NetWare remote administration protocol buffer overflow
|netware-remote-admin-overflow (4310)||Medium Risk|
NetWare systems with TCP enabled that use the HTTP remote administration protocol are vulnerable to a buffer overflow condition. A remote attacker can send a long GET request of containing several thousand bytes to overflow a buffer in the remote administration utility. An attacker could use this overflow to execute arbitrary code, or to cause a denial of service by making repeated long GET requests until the server stops responding to additional connection requests.
No remedy available as of July 6, 2008.
