Red Hat OpenOffice.org build script code execution
| redhat-ooo-buildscript-code-execution (43322) |
Description:
The Red Hat OpenOffice.org build script could allow a local attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system, caused by the configuration of an insecure RPATH (runtime library search path) in the openoffice.org package that allows binaries to call shared libraries within a world-writable directory. By forcing a binary to load a malformed shared library, a local attacker could exploit this vulnerability to execute arbitrary code on the system with the privileges of the victim.
