S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game server MultipacketReciever::RecievePacket() buffer overflow
| stalker-multipacketreceiver-bo (43454) |
Description:
The S.T.A.L.K.E.R. game server is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the MultipacketReciever::RecievePacket() function. By sending a specially-crafted packet prepended with the 0x39 byte, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system.
