Panda ActiveScan AV Class ActiveX control buffer overflow
|panda-activescan-bo (43588)||High Risk|
The Panda ActiveScan AV Class ActiveX control (as2guiie.dll) is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow. By persuading a victim to visit a specially-crafted Web page that passes an argument to the Update method, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the victim's browser to crash.
Upgrade to the latest version of Panda ActiveScan (2.01.00 or later), available from the Panda Security Web site. See References.
