Novell eDirectory ds.dlm module buffer overflow
| novell-edirectory-dsdlm-bo (43589) |
Description:
Novell eDirectory is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by an integer overflow error in the ds.dlm module. By sending a specially-crafted packet to TCP port 524, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
