Description:

Cygwin could provide weaker than expected security, caused by improper verification of package authenticity. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by using a package list containing the MD5 checksum of a malicious package distributed by a spoofed mirror server or by using man-in-the-middle techniques to launch further attacks against the system.
