Description:

Ingres Database is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by the libbecompat library. A local attacker could exploit this vulnerability using an overly long environment variable to overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with ingres privileges or cause the application to crash.
