GIT repository pathname multiple buffer overflows
| git-multiple-bo (44217) |
Description:
GIT is vulnerable to multiple stack-based buffer overflows, caused by improper bounds checking by multiple functions. By persuading a victim to running a certain command against an overly long repository pathname, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system with elevated privileges or cause the application to crash.
