Description:

Sun Solaris is vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by snoop(1M) when the -o option is not enabled. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability using specially-crafted SMB packets to execute arbitrary code with privileges of the user or cause the application to crash.

Note: When snoop(1M) is invoked by root, an attacker could execute arbitrary code with nobody privileges.
