BitTorrent and uTorrent created by buffer overflow
| bittorrent-utorrent-createdby-bo (44404) |
Description:
BitTorrent and uTorrent are vulnerable to a stack-based buffer overflow, caused by improper bounds checking by .torrent files. By persuading a victim to open a specially-crafted .torrent file with an overly long "created by" field, a remote attacker could overflow a buffer and execute arbitrary code on the system or cause the application to crash.
